I am consistently surprised at the community of modders surrounding a 90s Buick. Furthermore the lengths they go to do stuff like this. Custom fiberglassed functional cowl hood with jaguar “—SUPERCHARGED—” exhausts, and all the rest. Oddly, I’ve never seen one lowered before. Maybe if my restoration of my Riv leaves me with a set of blown shocks I’ll put some ebay adjustible springs on there for a day for shits and giggles. Or a broken spine.

Hey to each their own.
Can’t say it looks great (a Buick is a Buick after all...) but it looks to be in a helluva lot better shape than my car and its mods are tasteful.
As for yours, why wait for something to break when you can just break it yourself?? Cut those springs and drop that sucker down! XD

Pull the chrome wheel opening trim and it’d be nearly perfect.

Get rid of the chrome fender liners and the spoiler, other than that, damn

that body would look so much better just a tad lower. looks like a dang crossover in some of those pics.

It almost looks good.

Seriously I dunno why nobody ever makes these a little lower.

Looks good (hell, the LeSabre looks GREAT as a ‘vert) but I can’t imagine it’s very rigid.

I’ve done the cut springs thing. And the ebay coilovers thing. LOL NOPE NEVER AGAIN.

I always liked the “spaceship” look of these Rivieras. I think it would be fun to gut one and convert it to RWD or AWD. But maybe it would be easier to graft this body onto an existing RWD/AWD car...

awd system out of a Ponatiac Montana would be doable. Could mate up to a 3800, as well.

Oooooh, I like the sound of that.

Take the chrome off and I would rock the hell out of that thing.

These are pretty cars. I like the hood. Not a fan of the spoiler or the tinted tails. Dig the wheels and the black grill.

If they changed the wheels, I think that would actually be really tasteful. I like it.

Agree. The 3800 series II has turned into a real FWD powerhouse. Those guys impress me.

10/10 would DD, torn between these and a roadmaster estate for a second car.

I wanted a Roadmaster Esatate but they’re surprisingly hard to find nowadays.

Ehh, those minivan transmissions are made of glass and the rear diff isn’t much better. IIRC GM made an AWD Grand Prix concept once with that drivetrain and it couldn’t keep a rear end in one piece. If you’re going AWD, swap a Trailblazer SS chassis and drivetrain into it.
